Everything You Need To Know

New Members

New members choose to become either a Pokémon trainer or join Team Rocket.

Pokémon Trainers
Trainers start out with either a Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle (they are at lvl 10). They will then be given 2 other Pokémon from a founder (they are at lvl 5). They also begin with 10 pokéballs and $5,000.

Team Rocket
TRs start out with either an Ekans, Koffing or Meowth (at lvl 10). They will then be given 2 other Pokémon from a founder (at lvl 5). They also start with 5 pokéballs and $5,000.

Pokémon Battles

All battles WILL be held in the club chat room. A founder MUST be present to referee the match. Firstly, decide how many Pokémon each player will use. The referee will flip a coin to see who goes first. The first person calls out their Pokémon, the second then does the same. The first person calls out a move, the referee decides whether or not the attack hit and tells how much HP was taken off. The second person does the same and this goes on until one person has no more available Pokémon.

Pokémon's HP

A Pokémon's HP is determined by its level. To find your Pokémon's HP, multiply it's level by 5 (example: Bulbasaur lvl 5 has a HP of 25).

Pokémon's EXP

A Pokémon's EXP will only increase after battles. If you win a battle, all Pokémon in your possession (maximum 6) levels will increase by 1. If you lose, all Pokémon in your possession gain 500 EXP. A Pokémon must have 1,000 EXP before it reaches its next level.

Catching a Pokémon

Trainers
Trainers can only catch Pokémon on certain days during the week. These are: Monday, Wednesdy, Saturday, Sunday. To catch a Pokémon, post a message on the club with the pokémon you're going to use (1 only) and 4 moves.
Example: I was walking down the path to Viridian City when I saw a ______________. I called out bulbasaur. he used- tackle, vine whip, sleep powder, razor leaf.
Don't forget to be creative with your posts. Your level of creativity will count on what type of Pokémon you see.

Team Rockets
TRs can only catch pokémon on Wednesdays. However, they can steal other trainers pokémon if they defeat them in a battle. But they may only take that trainers weakest pokémon.
Example: if a trainer has
Bulbasaur lvl 10, Metapod lvl 9 and Weedle lvl 5
and they lose to a TR, then that TR person can take their Weedle because it is weakest.

Gym Leaders

Anyone can apply to become a Gym Leader. Gym Leaders can catch pokémon and battle with any pokémon. However, if challenged by a trainer or TR, they can only used Pokémon associated with their gym.
Example: Anyone who is the leader of the Pewter City Gym can use only rock type pokémon.

Elite Four

Anyone who applies for the Elite Four must pass a test of 10 questions and answer all of them correctly. They will then be given 6 pokémon at lvl 50. To challenge an Elite Four, you must have all 8 gym badges.

Pokémasters

All founders are Pokémasters. They can choose any 6 pokemon they want. To challenge a Pokemaster, you must have all 8 gym badges and have defeated all of the Elite Four. But beware: all Pokemasters' pokémon are lvl 100+ !!
